Hi, I’m Kimberley, the founder of The Academy & Beauty Room.

I’ve worked in the beauty industry for over a decade, and what started as a passion for makeup and beauty has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of — my own home-based salon and training academy in Oulton Broad, Lowestoft.

My career began as a professional makeup artist, where I had the opportunity to work across TV, commercials, photo shoots, editorials, fashion, special events and much more. These experiences gave me a wealth of practical knowledge and a real understanding of what it takes to work within the beauty industry.

Over the years, my passion has grown beyond providing treatments and creating beautiful makeup looks. I discovered how much I love teaching, sharing my knowledge and helping other people develop their own skills and confidence.

That’s why I created The Academy & Beauty Room.

I wanted to create somewhere that felt different from a traditional training academy — a small, personal and welcoming environment where I can work with you one-to-one and give you the time and attention you deserve.

I believe that everyone learns differently, and I don’t want you to ever feel like just another student. My training is about getting to know you, understanding what you want to achieve and supporting you throughout your learning journey.

Whether you’re completely new to the industry, looking to refresh your skills or wanting to take your existing career in a new direction, I’m here to help you build your knowledge, practical skills and confidence.

I’m incredibly passionate about what I do, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than seeing a student finish their training feeling proud of what they’ve achieved and excited about what comes next.
